Instruction for Authors

The authors are asked to send their articles the following link: Paper Submission System

Instruction for authors:

  • Paper submission: Upon receipt of paper submission, a confirmation receipt will appear on the web screen. Please make sure you see the confirmation. For further questions regarding submission, you can contact us via: editor@petrotex.us
  • Peer review: We use double-blind system for peer-review; both reviewers and authors’ identities remain anonymous. The paper will be peer-reviewed by three experts; two reviewers from outside and one editor from the journal typically involve in reviewing a submission. The review process may take 2 weeks.
  • Result notification: You will be notified of the acceptance or rejection of your paper via E-mail.
  • The authors revise paper.
  •  After publication, the corresponding author will receive three copies of printed journals, free of charge.
  •  E-journal in PDF is available on the journal’s webpage, free of charge for download. 

The authors are requested to follow the instructions below for their articles:

  • The main author can be a faculty member or may work in other institutes.
  • The papers should not have been published in any journal or presented in any conferences previously.
  • The correctness and precision of the numbers and statistics in the papers is on authors’.
  • A list of two suggested reviewers – should be attached to the article, including their names, emails and institutes.

The articles should be typed with ‘Ms Word’ in a single-columned format.  the required font is  ’Times New Roman 12′ should be used. Tables, graphs and shapes should be included inside the text. The reference of any used software should be mentioned.

The following are the parts of the article:

1.     The Article Title: It should be concise and introduce the contents of the article, including maximum 15 words.

  • The name(s) of the main author(s) should be marked with an asterisk (*).

2.     The writers’ addresses: It should be typed in Times New Roman size “11″ and the electronic address of the writers must be mentioned below it.

3.     The abstract: The abstract should contain a maximum of 150 words, in a single-columned format and it must include the main points and results of the article.

4.     The key words:  3-10 words

5.     The main Text: It begins with introduction and ends in conclusion. Depending on the type of the article, it includes theoretical parts, system descriptions, testing procedures, solving or calculating methods and the results. This part should be typed in a single-columned format in  Times New Roman “10″ and the space between the lines should be in Single format.

6.     Tables and shapes should be sorted and numbered. The titles of the tables should be mentioned above each of them and the titles of the shapes should be written below each. Tables and shapes should be presented in ‘Gray Scale’ and different shapes – instead of different colors- must be used in order to distinguish them.

7.     Discussion and Conclusion

8.     The references: The references used should be written in square brackets [ ] and their list must be arranged in order of their numbers in the text, and in accordance with the common standards in reference writing.

  • All of the articles are evaluated by specialized jury from editorial committee and the journal reserves the right to accept, edit, improve or shorten the articles without making  changes in the main contents.
  • The writers are accountable for their ideas and articles.
  • The ideas of the authors are not necessarily those of the editor-in-chief and the editorial committee.
